In Jena, there are short distances in a figurative sense too: through personal contacts between scientists and with those responsible in the city and business. This means that research and teaching projects can be launched quickly and easily - and creativity can run free. There are no mental boundaries here either, confirm many Jena scientists, who use this for innovative projects across disciplines.
