Global food supply is becoming an increasingly difficult challenge to overcome thanks to the increasing global population density on the one hand and rising prosperity on the other. Ensuring that everyone is fed without exceeding planetary boundaries requires new approaches and concepts, a different awareness of how to use resources, but also the best possible use of the technological possibilities available today.
TrophoSYS GmbH sees itself as having a duty to use its expertise to implement new methods to improve livestock breeding and thus contribute to improving the quality of the nutritional situation and at the same time make a significant contribution to reducing emissions.
The company focuses on two areas: on the one hand, improving breeding results by separating living and dead cells in the ejaculate, and on the other hand, the targeted breeding of farm animals by separating sperm containing X and Y chromosomes.
Both methods meet the demand for urgently needed solutions to improve animal breeding and enable both more efficient and more targeted rearing of livestock and thus also a reduction in the number of animals, which in turn can increase overall animal welfare and significantly reduce the impact on the climate.
